Our Message ...

The motto for the journey is "Go The Journey Together". A strong and healthy community is one that provides opportunities for all it's citizens to share in life together.
We hope to link the concept of the long bike ride to the challenge of working at health, wellbeing and social connection while on our life journey.

Our Aim...

Go The Journey Together aims to partner with local community members, representatives from business, members of local groups and people who experience mental health problems to provide a reflective and hopeful message about mental health. Go The Journey Together promotes concepts of recovery, growth and wellness. We invite people to move towards inclusive and welcoming responses to the 1 in 5 Australians who will experience a mental health problem.

Newsflash...

We are very proud to inform you that the only female member of the riding team, Anne Garton has been selected in the Australian Team to compete in the 2005 World Age-Group Triathlon Championships. Anne who can't stop smiling, is off to Hawaii in October to represent her country. Well done Ann, you are a truly awesome young Aussie and an inspiration to us all. Here is an extract from Anne's story….
"The Difference Between the Possible and the Impossible, Lies in a Person's Determination" - Anne Garton

"I was pleased to hear about the project, and am very happy to support it. I would also be happy to assist you in encouraging schools to be involved in the ride.
I look forward in hearing about the progress of the project in the coming months and I will assist wherever possible."

Minister for Education, Anna Bligh

"This epic challenge represents a great opportunity to capture public interest & raise community awareness about psychiatric disability in an inspirational way."
Minister for Communities & Disability Services, Warren Pitt

"The bike ride is a really positive story. It's visual. It has tangible outcomes that everyone can identify with and it doesn't happen every day - which will make it news."
Executive Director for the Qld Alliance, Jeff Cheverton

"This ride captures my business's imagination. It is a great challenge for a worthy cause and something we as members of the community should not shirk from. I am more than pleased to add my support."
Fraser Constructions, Bill Fraser
