This workshop is for people who assist or advocate for others and who are interested in learning more about Mental Health and Pastoral Care. It is a cross-denominational and multi-faith event.
Responses from the 2011 Orientation to Mental Health Pastoral Care Training indicated that there were two significant highlights. One was the session of key-note speaker Helen Glover. Helen spoke about Recovery and many found this helpful. Earlier in the day attendees heard the powerful story of a woman as she shared many of her struggles with mental health issues over a prolonged period.

“It’s been an invaluable experience. Hearing the person's story and then having some pretty open discussion about how our lives can be different has given me hope”.
